St Fillans and Loch Earn
St Fillans Community Place Plan
January 2023-January 2024
The St Fillans Place Plan sets out the community’s 10‑year vision for how land in the area should be used and developed. It focuses on improving public transport, Active Travel routes and road safety; strengthening land management and climate resilience and relationships with local landowners; expanding and enhancing community spaces; exploring community energy opportunities; and making the village a better place for young people.
I supported the Place Plan Steering Group by coordinating the whole Place Plan process. This included running community consultations, collating and analysing data, writing and editing draft versions of the Plan, and preparing the final agreed document for publication.

Gartmore Place Plan Open Day

The Gartmore Community Place Plan sets out the community’s 10‑year vision, aspirations and proposals for how land in the area should be used and developed. It focuses on:
- Supporting and expanding community spaces and assets, such as the Village Hall and the Pub
- Enhancing and protecting access to the local paths network
- Improving the condition and safety of local streets and roads
- Exploring a sympathetic, small‑scale expansion of the village
I supported the Place Plan Steering Group by coordinating the Place Plan process. This included running community consultations, collating and analysing data, drafting and editing the Place Plan, and helping to publish the final agreed document.

Loch Achray
Trossachs Local Place Plan
March 2024-August 2024
The Trossachs Local Place Plan sets out the community’s 10‑year vision for how land in the area should be used and developed. It focuses on: caring for and making good use of community assets; increasing the number of permanent homes and better managing the impacts of tourism; improving public transport and roads; and reducing invasive species while enhancing local biodiversity.
I supported the Place Plan Steering Group by coordinating the full Place Plan process. This included running community consultations, collating and analysing data, writing and editing draft versions of the Plan, and preparing the final agreed document for publication.

Strathfillan towards Ben Mor
Project Manager: Strathfillan Community Development Trust
December 2014-January 2024
In this role, I developed and managed projects such as Tyndrum Community Woodlands, including the Gruffalo Trail, Forest Classroom, path maintenance, and cultural and natural interpretation. I led the Crianlarich Heritage Paths Project, a £250k programme that commissioned consultants and contractors to extend and upgrade the path network and install new interpretation boards. I also supported the planning and delivery of the Strathfillan Community Bike Skills Park.
I developed, managed and secured funding for the Crianlarich Community Garden, and secured funding and resources to employ two community rangers for three summer seasons to help address visitor management issues. Other responsibilities included managing community-owned housing, administering the small grants scheme, and working with Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs Countryside Trust, and local landowners to initiate and develop the Wild Strathfillan Project. I also coordinated the delivery of the Strathfillan Community Place Plan.
